I’m 47, looking the best I’ve ever looked at 47. This is my ‘king’ secret to health, exercise – and the food I swear by

An Australian fitness trainer has revealed the one exercise she swears by for better health.

Gold Coast’s Belinda Norton said running has ‘more health and biomechanical benefits’ than any other form of exercise – plus it’s free.

The 47-year-old health and fitness education professional and certified trainer said adults often stop running for a number of reasons, including mindset, discomfort or ego.

But she emphasized that this form of cardio should not be neglected and encouraged others to run regularly.

‘Did you know that running is a survival mechanism for the body? It’s a normal function, and has become a choice as the human race has evolved,” she wrote on Instagram.

‘This is a harm to humanity. You think – from a child starting to walk as a toddler they run even if they are unsteady. So why do adults stop running? mentality Discomfort the ego

‘I want you to live longer. Live with movement. I want you to see your potential. I encourage you to train again to run. Today is the day. Proceed! It’s your life.’

Belinda also revealed the nine foods she eats every day for good health and a slim body.

Before exercising, it’s important to warm up the lower body with a variety of running exercises focusing on the legs, feet, calves, shins, thighs and hips, as Belinda demonstrated in an Instagram video.

For example, perform a set of high knees, side switches, A-skips, B-skips, bounds, backward walks, and strides for 30 seconds each.

The super fit mom has gained a huge following on social media for sharing her health secrets.

She said last year that she was a fan of eating foods ‘grown in the land and sea’, such as salmon, carrots, brown rice and broccoli.

She also subscribes to this approach for her children – making sure their breakfasts, lunches and dinners are full of ‘real whole foods’ that promote good health.

What are the benefits of running daily?

Studies show that the benefits of running for five to ten minutes at a moderate pace each day can include:

  • Reduced risk of death from heart attack or stroke
  • Reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease
  • Lower risk of developing cancer
  • The risk of developing neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s is low

‘Did you know that foods grown in soil and seawater contain more minerals than any other food source?’ Belinda posted on Instagram.

The nine foods you should include in your diet are fish, whole carrots, homemade muesli, oranges, avocados, greens, salads, broccoli, brown rice and quinoa.

Belinda also eats one raw carrot and two cucumbers daily.

When eating these she does not peel or cut them, but washes them and eats them whole.

‘Whole organic earth-grown foods provide our bodies with nutrients and minerals that no other product can produce,’ said Belinda.

‘They’re cheap, they’re tempting to chew on, and they’re perfectly portioned to feed and maintain energy.’

Belinda added that the fiber in carrots helps control blood sugar levels, while eating cucumber hydrates the body and offers health benefits including ‘weight loss, balanced hydration, regular digestion and lower blood sugar levels’.

Belinda’s five tricks to ‘eat and train like a girl’

1. Quality over quantity: Focus 60 minutes on moving your body properly and on purpose.

2. Enter the weight: A speed circuit of 5-7kg hand weights will improve your overall muscle strength and mobility

3. Practice with alignment in mind: Focus on how the muscles in your body move to create results. If you are a woman due to pregnancy and menopause, you should especially think about your waist and lower back. For this reason, yoga is key to ensuring alignment and limiting injuries.

4. Focus on yourself: Avoid a ‘crazy competitive mindset’ and think about your own body and fitness and health journey.

5. Eat quality small meals often: Instead of going for big, energy-dense, draining meals, Belinda recommends eating small, healthy meals to keep your energy high throughout the day and avoid a slump. As much as possible, make sure these include real whole foods.
